Trebonne State School offers students from prep to year 7 a specialised and unique education only ten minutes from Ingham, North Queensland. Many of our students travel from the surrounding area by bus.

Our school motto is ‘Let us be strong in mind and body’ and our successful curriculum has a central focus on high levels of literacy and numeracy whilst embracing new technologies such as interactive whiteboards, movie making, mobile digital devices and online learning environments. We have an active P&C and students participate in many cultural and community events such the Maraka festival and Ingham’s ANZAC parade.

Key features of the school include the multi-age cooperative learning environment, successful participation in Townsville District chess competition and a commitment to improving the social and emotional resilience of our students through school-wide positive behaviour support.

A healthy and active lifestyle is promoted with ‘Smart Food’ each morning and through participation in daily ‘Smart Moves’ and programs such as Jump Rope for Heart. We also have an extensive kitchen garden which is used to supply produce for our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program.

As a Reef Guardian School, we have a number of active environmental projects which include a worm farm, butterfly garden and frog pond.

Our caring, supportive staff look forward to sharing in the journey your child will take in becoming the best they can be.
